Footium Weekly Update
An update to the Footium Launch Roadmap 🚀
Following the recent Beta season, this is an update to the launch roadmap for Footium! A lot of this was covered on the AMA last week so be sure to check it out.
The Beta test was a great chance for us to get your feedback on the new Front End, player images & cards, new match engine, and to test our new backend structure’s performance. From this feedback, we now have a much clearer idea of what features still need to be added pre-launch & improvements we need to make, and are currently working on executing those. Due to the integration issues delaying the recent Beta’s launch, the first official season of Footium will not be starting in Q1 of 2023.
We have heard community feedback around setting expectations as well as having clear communications, we will be sure to give much more frequent updates on our progress, and some behind-the-scenes content of building Footium!
The sequencing for launch is still as planned - we intend to make these improvements & add new features before hosting a final beta, followed by the first official season. We will likely be conducting smaller tests on specific features ahead of the final beta test also, as well as forming a rapid feedback group formed of community members with different levels of experience in football management games to ensure we get community input. One of our main focuses currently is drastically improving the user experience of matches, including pre-game lobbies, better live viewing and post-match reports
Footium is coming into 2023 with a strong and settled squad (our chemistry is as good as 2010 Barcelona) and a clear idea of what we need to achieve in the coming months. Now, we are fully focused on executing, and we are excited to have our fantastic community on this journey with us 🚀

We are happy to announce that we have recently accepted a grant application from @JGweb3 to help him continue his brilliant Footium Pitchside content that we have all been enjoying over the last few months!
In light of this, I wanted to share the details of the Footium Community Fund again:
We have auctioned off a few high-division clubs from the Footium treasury with all of the funds going into grants for community projects created by you!
A reminder that we also recently created a Builder channel as well so builders in our community can support each other in creating projects around Footium, some really cool stuff is being built behind the scenes! We saw some great stuff created by Catalanic during the beta and I am sure a lot more is to come
